Ajitama Saldanha: Ramen Two Minutes from Moxy Lisbon City
Visited in July 2026. Prices, opening hours and app discounts change, so confirm them before booking.
On another coworking day at Moxy Lisbon City we went for ramen at Ajitama Saldanha, 120 metres down Avenida Duque de Loulé. We booked on TheFork with a discount, most of the table ordered ramen, and the food arrived much faster than at our lunch at Gurkha Picoas a few days earlier.
The short verdict
Good for a fast, pleasant lunch and for a change of taste when you have eaten the same three places all week. Less good as a routine: the prices sit in the same range as a proper sit-down lunch nearby, and ramen is specific enough that not everyone wants it twice a month.
It is also smaller than Gurkha. Fewer tables means booking matters more at peak lunch hour, even though we had no trouble on the day.
Two minutes from a coworking day
Ajitama Saldanha is at Avenida Duque de Loulé 36, on the same avenue as the Moxy, about 120 metres away. If you use the hotel lobby as a workspace, this is the second option within a two-minute walk, after Gurkha. Metro is Marquês de Pombal or Picoas.
Combined with the €10 minimum spend at Moxy that covers 3 drinks, a working day plus lunch here sits in the same ballpark as the Gurkha version of that day.
What it costs
We booked with a TheFork discount again, which is worth doing here as much as anywhere.
The website does not publish menu prices, so I cannot quote a list. What I can say is that the prices sit in the same range as Gurkha, and that price level is the reason this is an occasional lunch for me rather than a weekly one.
Disclosure: the link that follows is my TheFork referral link. Booking with code 84F2EFD6 gives you 1000 Yums, which is €20 off your next meal, and credits me as well. Download the app.
Speed is the practical advantage
I did not time the kitchen, but the bowls arrived quickly and nobody had to reorganise the afternoon around lunch. For a working day, that is worth more than a few euros of difference on the bill.
The menu
Ajitama makes its noodles fresh daily and describes its broths as slow-cooked, with no artificial additives or shortcuts. The ramen list runs to around fifteen bowls, including Black Tonkotsu, Hakata Tonkotsu, Miso, Shoyu, Tantanmen and Tokyo Mazemen, plus Ocean Gyokai Tsukemen.
Vegans are properly covered rather than tolerated: Vegan Mazemen, Vegan Tsukemen and the Herbquake vegan ramen are on the same list. Sides include gyoza, agedashi tofu and nasu dengaku.

For a coworking day in Picoas, Ajitama is the fast option and Gurkha is the long one. Pick by how much of the afternoon you still need.
